How it works
Thirty shots in thirty minutes is what most kids get shooting alone, because most of the session is spent chasing the ball. With the machine doing the rebounding and passing, the same half hour is a few hundred shots.
1. The net catches everything
Makes and misses both funnel into the wide catch net and feed down into the machine.
2. The machine passes back
Set the angle, speed and interval. Corner, wing or top of the key, at the tempo that suits the player.
3. You just keep shooting
Catch, shoot, repeat. The ball comes back every time, so the session is all reps.
Mounting it, start to finish
No renders, no studio tricks. This is the actual machine going onto an actual backyard hoop.

Why I sell these
I coach juniors in Adelaide and run basketball courts for a living. The kids who improve fastest are always the ones getting extra shots up at home, and the thing that stops them is never effort. It's that shooting alone means chasing every ball, and parents can't rebound every night.
Shooting machines fix that, but the imported ones cost more than a holiday. So we sourced one worth backing, tested it on our own courts and with local families, and priced it so a normal household can own one. How does the TMG Assist work?
Shoot as normal. The wide catch net collects your makes and misses and feeds them into the machine, which passes the ball back at the angle, speed and interval you set. No rebounder needed.
What hoop do I need?
A sturdy, fixed ring and backboard in good condition. Don't mount it to a portable hoop unless the base is fully weighted, or to a damaged or rusted ring. If your hoop handles real games, it'll handle the machine. Full requirements in the setup guide.
How long does setup take?
Mounting takes about 15–20 minutes with two people (the machine is around 30kg — don't lift it alone). All up, expect to be shooting within the hour. There are three short videos covering assembly, mounting and the controls. In Adelaide? Book a free demo and try it first.
Why is it a third of the price of other shooting machines?
Most machines are built for US college programs and priced for institutional budgets, at $8,000+ before freight in Australia. The TMG Assist is for backyards and local clubs: no app subscriptions and no US price tag. You're paying for the things that build a shooter and nothing else.
What balls does it work with?
Regulation size 6 and size 7 basketballs, covering junior, women's and men's game balls.
Can it be used outdoors?
Yes, it's used on driveways, backyard courts and indoor stadiums. Don't leave it out in the rain or stored uncovered — water damage isn't covered by the warranty.
How long does the battery last?
Around 3 hours of continuous training per charge, which covers even a big session.
When will my order arrive?
Machines ship from our Melbourne warehouse — in our warehouse, dispatching now — in order of purchase. You choose your delivery option at checkout, and we email tracking as soon as yours is dispatched.
What's the warranty, and can I return it?
12 months on the machine and battery: faulty parts replaced free, freight on approved claims covered by us. Parts broken by accident or misuse can be bought from us. No change-of-mind returns once dispatched, but you can cancel for a full refund any time before dispatch. This doesn't affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Full details.
